Following Lorentz, if \(X\) is a normed space, a sequence \(\{x_{j}\}\subset X\) is almost convergent to \(x\in X\) if \(\lim_{i}\frac{1}{i+1} \sum_{l=j}^{j+i}x_{l}=x\) uniformly for \(j\in\mathbb{N}\), and in this case, we write \(AC\lim_{i}x_{i}=x\). The sequence \(\{x_{i}\}\) is weakly almost convergent to \(x\) if \(AC\lim_{i}f(x_{i})=f(x)\) for every \(f\in X^{\prime }\) and we write \(wAC\lim_{i}x_{i}=x\). Define \(S_{AC}(\sum x_{i})=\{\{a_{i}\}\in l^{\infty}:AC\lim_{i}\sum_{i}a_{i}x_{i}\text{ exists}\}\) and \(S_{wAC}(\sum_{i}x_{i})=\{\{a_{i}\}\in l^{\infty}:wAC\lim_{i}\sum_{i}a_{i}x_{i}\text{ exists}\}\) and give each of these spaces the sup-norm. A series \(\sum_{i}x_{i}\) in \(X\) is weakly unconditionally Cauchy (wuC) if \(\sum_{i=1}^{\infty }\left| f(x_{i})\right| < \infty\) for every \(f\in X^{\prime}\). The authors give characterizations of wuC series in Banach spaces in terms of the completeness of \(S_{AC}(\sum x_{i})\) and \(S_{wAC}(\sum_{i}x_{i})\). They also establish a version of the Orlicz--Pettis theorem for weakly almost (unconditionally) convergent series.
