The concept of full transitivity goes back to I. Kaplansky for \(p\)-torsion Abelian groups and also for reduced modules over a complete discrete valuation domain. More generally, an Abelian group \(A\) is said to be fully transitive if, for all elements \(a,b\in A\) for which the corresponding height matrices satisfy \(\mathcal H(a)\leq\mathcal H(b)\) there exists an endomorphism of the group \(A\) mapping \(a\) onto \(b\). Full transitivity with respect to various classes of Abelian groups has been studied extensively in the literature and there are still several interesting and difficult problems on full transitivity and the related concept of transitivity unsolved. The present paper deals with the problem of finding necessary and sufficient conditions for full transitivity of the direct sum \(\bigoplus_{i\in I}G_i\) and the product \(\prod_{i\in I}G_i\) of groups \(G_i\). On the one hand the author gives a nice overview of the present state of the art with a comprehensive list of references and on the other hand he presents many nice results on the above question. The paper is written carefully and provides a good source of information about full transitivity. It can also be used as an introductory paper to the study of full transitivity.
