Pseudogroups of local homeomorphisms on compact (metric) spaces are natural generalizations of group actions. One can extend the various definitions of topological entropy (using open covers, separated sets, or spanning sets) to pseudogroup actions, see Section 2 of the paper for more details. In this paper, the authors study the complexity function of a pseudogroup action and characterize uniformly equicontinuous pseudogroup actions and weakly mixing pseudogroup actions. Then they prove that the entropy of a pseudogroup action does not depend on the choice of the pseudometrics as long as the pseudometrics is continuous and dynamically generating.
