Let \((M, \omega)\) be a closed symplectic manifold. Let \(\mathcal{E}(M, \omega)\) be the affine space of symplectic connections on \(TM\). This space has a natural symplectic form \(\Omega^{\mathcal{E}}\). The group of Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms acts on \(\mathcal{E}(M, \omega)\) by pullbacks of connections. Cahen and Gutt defined a moment map \(\tilde \mu\) for this action. In this paper, the author studies a moment map \(\mu\), which differs from \(\tilde \mu\) by a constant. It takes values in the space of smooth functions on \(M\) with vanishing integrals with respect to the Liouville measure. The goals of this article are to study the set of zeroes of this moment map in the case where \((M, \omega, J)\) is Kähler, and to relate this to star products in deformation quantisation. More precisely, one studies the functional \(\mathcal{F}\) on the space \(\mathcal{M}_{\Theta}\) of Kähler forms cohomologous to \(\omega\), where \(\Theta = [\omega]\), defined as the squared \(L^2\)-norm of \(\mu\). The main results hold under the assumption that the Ricci tensor is nonnegative. This implies what is called Condition C in this paper, which is what is really used. Condition C is a nondegeneracy condition on the pullback of \(\Omega^{\mathcal{E}}\) to the space of complex structures \(J\) on \((M, \omega)\) compatible with \(\omega\), along the map sending \(J\) to the Levi-Civita connection of the metric defined by \(J\) and \(\omega\). The first main result states that locally, \(\mathcal{F}^{-1}(0)\) is an orbit of the action by the reduced automorphism group. The second main result is a local classification of Fedosov's star products, closed up to order 3 in the formal parameter, with respect to the zero two-form. These are also locally given by an orbit of the reduced automorphism group. The paper ends with an investigation of other star products.
