      Sei \(S = \{u\in E^d\mid \langle u,u\rangle = 1\}\) die Einheitssphäre im \(d\)-dimensionalen euklidischen Raum \(E^d\) \((d\ge 3)\). Für \(u\in S\) und \(\alpha\in [0,1)\) sei \(S_u^\alpha = \{v\in S\mid \langle u,u\rangle = \alpha\}\); für eine stetige reelle Funktion \(f\) auf \(S\) sei \(f_\alpha(u) = \int_{S_u^\alpha}f\,d\sigma\), wo \(\sigma\) das \(d-2\)-dimensionale Maß auf \(S_u^\alpha\) bezeichnet. Folgt aus \(f_\alpha\equiv 0\), daß \(f\equiv 0\) ist? Die Zahl \(\alpha\) heiße ``Ausnahmewert'', wenn dies nicht notwendig folgt. Es wird gezeigt: Die Menge der Ausnahmewerte ist abzählbar und dicht in \([0,1)\). Dies ist ein Gegenstück zu einem ähnlichen Satz von \textit{P. Ungar} [J. Lond. Math. Soc. 29, 100--103 (1954; Zbl 0058.28403)], in dem über sphärische Kappen von festem Radius statt über niederdimensionale Sphären integriert wird.
