It is well-known (for example see \textit{W. Sierpiński} [Elementary theory of numbers (1964; Zbl 0122.044*), p. 413]) that there is an infinity of positive odd integers not representable as the sum of a prime and a (positive) power of 2. In the present paper the author proves the Theorem: There is an infinity of distinct, positive odd integers not representable as the sum of a prime and of two positive powers of 2.
