Let \(G\) be a simple algebraic group with Cartan torus \(T\) and let \(F_q[G]\) be its quantum function algebra. We consider a multiparameter deformation \(F^\varphi_q[G]\) of \(F_q[G]\), built from a skew endomorphism of \(({\mathfrak L}{\mathfrak i}{\mathfrak e} T)^*\). We study the representations of this algebra when \(q\) is an \(l\)-th root of unity, \(\varepsilon\). Like in the standard quantum case we can consider \(F^\varphi_\varepsilon[G]\) as a bundle of algebras on \(G\). The theory of representations is constant over the \(T\)-biinvariant Poisson submanifold of \(G\). More precisely, for ``good'' \(l\), the dimension of any representation of \(F^\varphi_\varepsilon[G]\) over a point of a symplectic leaf \(\Theta\) is divisible by \(l^{{1\over 2}\dim\Theta}\). We compute the dimension of the symplectic leaves of \(G\). Finally, using a duality between some sub-Hopf-algebras of \(F^\varphi_q[G]\) we describe explicitly a class of representations of \(F^\varphi_\varepsilon[G]\).
