Summary: Consider the neutral differential equation \[ \left[x(t) + \int_0^{\sigma (t)}x (t-s)d_sr_1 (t,s) \right]'+ \int_0^{\sigma(t)} x(t- s) d_sr_2(t,s) = 0. \] The asymptotic properties of the nonoscillatory solutions of the equation are studied. Sufficient conditions are also given to guarantee that all solutions oscillate.
