The authors give a local scheme for constructing a \(C^1\) interpolating function comonotone with a set of data having a tensor product topology. They construct some quadrilateral patch of the interpolant by blending together suitable boundary curves, which are cubic parametric curves. Error estimates and several graphical examples are given.
