Representation theory of Chern-Simons observables (Q2564685)

Combinatorial or operator approach to quantization of the Chern-Simons theory is understood here as quantization of the algebra of functions on the moduli space of flat connections on a Riemann surface. Surfaces of any genus and arbitrary number of marked points are treated and all unitary representations of their moduli algebras are classified. Explicit formulae for the generators of the mapping class group action are derived and all these results are in agreement with those obtained in conformal field theory and geometric quantization framework.
