Consider the singularly perturbed non-autonomous differential system \((*)\) \(\varepsilon du/dt= f(u)+\varepsilon g(t,u,\varepsilon)\) under the following assumptions: (i) \(f\) and \(g\) are sufficiently smooth. (ii) \(g\) is periodic in \(t\) with period 2. (iii) \(dx/dt= f(x)\) has a heteroclinic orbit \(\gamma\) connecting two hyperbolic equilibria. (iv) \((*)\) is equivariant under a finite group or periodic in \(u\). The authors prove that if the corresponding Melnikov function \(M(\alpha)\) has a simple zero \(\alpha_0\) then there exists \(\varepsilon_0>0\) such that for any \(\varepsilon\in (0,\varepsilon_0)\) and \(m\geq 1\) there exists \(\alpha_m(\varepsilon)\in \mathbb{R}\) such that \(\lim_{\varepsilon\to 0}\alpha_m (\varepsilon)= \alpha_0\) uniformly with respect to \(m\), and \((*)\) has a unique \(2mp\)-periodic solution near \(\gamma\), where \(p\) is the order of the group. A similar result has been proven for the case when \(g\) is periodic in \(u\). The obtained results extend the results of the authors [J. Differ. Equations 132, 21-45 (1996)] obtained for the homoclinic situation.
