Iterative numerical methods in a Banach space \(B\) are considered which generate \(s\) sequences of iterates \(\{x_i^{(k)}\}\), \(1\leq i\leq s\) for the approximation of the solutions \(x_i^*\), \(1\leq i\leq s\). This general framework covers parallel methods for the determination of a single quantity \(x_1^*= x_2^*= \cdots= x_s^*\) as well as the case where all roots of a polynomial are determined. The note starts with a complete proof for the determination of the largest eigenvalue by the von Mises method before the \(Q\)-order of convergence is discussed.
