Controllability of the perturbed adiabatic oscillator (Q2565015)

Global controllability in finite time with norm constraints and range constrained controls of the perturbed adiabatic oscillator is considered. The main problem is to find conditions on the time-varying perturbation that ensure the global null controllability in finite time of the perturbed control system. Using asymptotic integration theory, sufficient conditions for global null controllability in finite time of the perturbed control system are formulated and proved. Moreover, global null controllability with positive controllers is also considered, and sufficient conditions for controllability are derived. Theoretical considerations are illustrated by many simple numerical examples. Several remarks and comments on the constrained controllability problems for linear control systems are given. The results presented in the paper extend constrained controllability theorems given by [\textit{W. E. Schmitendorf} and \textit{B. R. Barmish} [SIAM J. Control Optimization 18, 327-345 (1980; Zbl 0457.93012)].
