Let \(G\) be a finite group, \(H\triangleleft G\) such that \(G/H\) is a \(p\)-group and let \(F\) be an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(p\). Let \(B\) be a \(p\)-block for \(FH\), then, by Osima's theorem, there is a unique block \(A\) of \(FG\) covering \(B\). This paper is concerned with the structure of \(A\) and its main result is stated in the following Theorem. Suppose \(B\) is \(G\)-stable and \(A\) has an abelian defect group \(P\) such that the defect group \(Q:=P\cap H\) of \(B\) has a complement \(R\) in \(P\). Then \(A\cong FR\otimes_FB\) as \(F\)-algebras.
