Remarks on the index of endomorphisms of Cuntz algebras (Q2565236)

Motivated by the study of Hopf algebras and their actions on Cuntz algebra \({\mathcal O}_d\), certain endomorphisms of \({\mathcal O}_d\) have been considered by Longo from the point of view of Jones index theory. This analysis faced a number of natural questions and set the general problem of computing the index of such endomorphisms. In this paper the authors consider the class of localized endomorphisms of the Cuntz algebra and make some computations on the index of the associated endomorphisms of type \(\text{III}_{\lambda}\) factors.
