This book presents the state of the art in the quantum trajectory (QT) method and its applications in quantum hydrodynamics. Each of book's fifteen chapters deals with a specific subject and ends with an extensive list of references. The main topics covered in the book include a comprehensive introduction to QTs; Bohmian and phase space routes to hydrodynamic equations; dynamics, properties and applications of QTs; outline of numerical procedures for QT dynamics based on adaptive grid methods; QTs for multidimensional dynamics and for stationary states; QTs in phase space, stress tensor and vorticity in quantum hydrodynamics; applications in a mixed quantum-classical dynamics. A useful example of a numerical code that integrates the potential form of quantum hydrodynamic equations of motion is given in Appendix. In addition to advanced issues at the level of professional researchers, the book also contains many introductory elements that can nicely serve also to graduate students as a suitable extension of their textbook literature on quantum mechanics. Numerous boxes with outlines and summaries of basic results of a chapter are particularly valuable to those who need a brief and concise information on a particular item.
