The authors consider various distortion results for convex (biholomorphic) mappings on the Euclidean unit ball \(\mathbb{B}^n\) in \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Let \({\mathcal K}^n\) be the set of normalized convex mappings from \(\mathbb{B}^n\) into \(\mathbb{C}^n\). Also let \(\widetilde{{\mathcal K}^n}\) be the subset of \({\mathcal K}^n\) consisting of all mapping \(f\) in the Roper-Suffridge class given by \[ f(z)=(F(z_1),z'\sqrt{F'(z_1)}),\, z=(z_1,z')\in \mathbb{B}^n, \] where \(z'=(z_2,\ldots,z_n)\), \(F\in {\mathcal K}^1\), and the branch of \(\sqrt{F'(z_1)}\) is chosen such that \(\sqrt{1}=1\). In this paper, the authors consider the following conjectures related to mappings in \({\mathcal K}^n\). Conjecture 1. Let \(n>1\). The sharp lower bound of the norm \(\| Df(z)\| \) in the class \(\widetilde{{\mathcal K}^n}\) is given by \[ \| Df(z)\| \geq (1+\| z\| )^{-1},\;z\in \mathbb{B}^n. \] Conjecture 2. Let \(n>1\). The sharp lower bound of the norm \(\| Df(z)\| \) in the class \({\mathcal K}^n\) has the same form as in Conjecture 1. Conjecture 3. Let \(n>1\). For every \(f\in {\mathcal K}^n\), one has the sharp estimate \[ \| Df(z)(w)\| \geq (1+\| z\| )^{-2},\, z\in \mathbb{B}^n,\, w\in {\partial \mathbb{B}^n}. \] Conjectures 1 and 2 are due to \textit{P. Liczberski} and \textit{V. Starkov} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 274, 495--504 (2002; Zbl 1015.32015)]. Conjecture 3 is due to \textit{J. Pfaltzgraff} and \textit{T. Suffridge} [J. Anal. Math. 82, 285--313 (2000; Zbl 0978.32017)]. In the present paper, the authors show that Conjecture 1 is true on the whole ball \(\mathbb{B}^n\), while Conjecture 3 is not true in dimension \(n>1\). Conjecture 2 is still open.
