Let \(G\) be a quasidisk, \(z_0\in G\), and \(\varphi_0(z)\) the conformal map of \(G\) onto \(D(0,r_0)\) with the normalization \(\varphi_0(z_0)=0\), \(\varphi_0'(z_0)=1\). The author studies the notion of \(\varphi_0\) admitting a slowly growing dilatation (SGD) to a domain \(\tilde{G}\supset\overline{G}\). Using a positive function \(\gamma\) on \((1,\infty)\) to gauge the degree of growth, the main result of the paper is stated as follows: If \(\varphi\in\text{SGD}(\gamma)\), then for every \(\varepsilon>0\) there is a positive constant \(c=c(\varepsilon)\) such that \[ \| \varphi_0-\pi_n\| _{\overline{G}} \leq ce^{-(1-\varepsilon)\gamma(n)}, \] where \(\pi_n\) is the \(n\)th Bieberbach polynomial for the pair \((G,z_0)\).
