Let \(\widetilde M^n(4c)\) be the standard complex space form of constant holomorphic sectional curvature \(4c\) with complex structure \(J\) and let \(M\subset\widetilde M^n(4c)\) be a submanifold with normal bundle \(\perp M\). Then there are linear bundle maps \(P : TM \to TM\) and \(F : TM \to\perp M\) characterized by \(Jv = Pv + Fv\). Furthermore, we suppose that \(M\) is a Kaehlerian slant submanifold, that means: \(P\) is a parallel tensor field and the angle between \(Jv\) and \(T_pM\) \((v\in T_pM\), \(p\in M)\) is a constant \(\theta\) with \(0 < \theta < \pi/2\); consequently we have \(\| Pv\| = \| v\|\cdot\cos \theta\), \(\| Fv\| = \| v\|\cdot\sin\theta\) and \(P^2 = - \cos^2\theta\cdot id\). In [Demonstr. Math. 32, No.~4, 835--846 (1999; Zbl 0969.53007)] the author and \textit{A. Oiagă} have derived an analog of Chen's inequality describing a relation between intrinsic curvature invariants of \(M\) and the length of the mean curvature normal of \(M\). In the present article the author supposes that \(M\) is an ideal Kählerian slant submanifold, that means that equality holds in appropriate situations, and additionally \(\dim M = n\). Then \(M\) is proved to be a minimal submanifold (Theorem 2.1) and that \(M\) cannot be full in the case of a hyperbolic space \(\widetilde M^n(4c)\). Theorem 3.4 must be read in connection with Lemma 3.2. Theorem 3.5 is wrong for \(c\not\in 0\) because the proof is based on the real space form version of the Codazzi equation; but a correction has been published.
