    The authors establish a two-norms version of Krasnoselskii's theorem on cone expansion and compression. Unlike in the original Krasnoselskii-Guo theorem, the compression and expansion conditions are expressed with respect to different norms \(| \cdot| \) and \(\| \cdot\| \) defined in a linear space \(E\). The main result of the paper can be stated as follows. Let \(C\subset E\) be a nonempty convex set with \(0\notin C\) and \(\lambda C\subset C\) for all \(\lambda >0\). Assume that there exist \(c_1\), \(c_2>0\) such that \(c_1| x| \leq \| x\| \leq c_2| x| \) for all \(x\in C\). Let \(\rho\) and \(R\) be positive numbers such that \(0<c_2\rho <R\). Assume further that the norm \(\| \cdot\| \) is increasing with respect to \(C\) and the map \(N:D_R\to C\) is compact, where \(D_R=\{x\in C:\| x\| \leq R\}\). If: (1) \(| N(x)| <| x| \) for all \(x\in C\) with \(| x| =\rho\), (2) \(\| Nx\| \geq \| x\| \) for all \(x\in C\) with \(\| x\| =R,\) then \(N\) has at least two fixed points \(x_1\), \(x_2\in C\) with \(| x_1| <\rho\leq | x_2| \) and \(\| x_2\| \leq R.\) This abstract result is applied to prove the existence of positive \(L^p\) solutions of Hammerstein integral equations.
