The object of the Lecture Note is very well expressed in its preface ``\dots it will be of interest for characterization, delineation and exploration of geothermal reservoirs as well as for mineral geology, to explain or to reassess existing deposits and to search for new ones.'' It contains seven chapters where the author presents the actual situation of the problem, based on a vast bibliography: the references list contains more than 350 titles. He, himself, appears in around 17 of them, alone or in collaboration. In the first four chapters he presents the importance of geochemical models of hydrothermal systems, the concepts, classification and chemistry of geothermal systems, theory of chemical modeling, specific features of coupled fluid flow and chemical reaction and fossil hydrothermal systems. The last three chapters contain ore deposits and diagenesis and some world-wide locations of geothermal systems as: Allermohe (Germany), Waiwera (New Zealand), Kakkonda (Japan) and Stralsund (Germany). The mathematial problems occuring in the above studies are very difficult to solve. They combine fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, flows in porous or fracturated media where porosity and permeability are variable and changes of solid underground media due to chemical reactions. The solutions of these problems are solved approximately by means of numerical programs. The author does not minutely present them, but he sends the reader to the papers in which their authors elaborated such programs. In exchange, the author presents many results obtained till now in the study of the problem in diagrams, plots, tables and figures in colours, in 2D and 3D. The Lecture Note appears as a very elaborated one, with any informations, useful for the beginners and for the specialists.
