Let \((q_n)\) be a sequence of polynomials and \((\alpha_n)\) a sequence of complex numbers. The series \(\sum_{n=0}^{\infty}\alpha_nq_n(z)\) is called a polynomial series. The largest open subset of the plane in which this series converges locally uniformly is called its convergence region. In this paper, the author describes the region of convergence of a polynomial series in terms of the (weak) asymptotic distribution of the zeros of the polynomials and the \(n\)-th root asymptotics of their leading coefficients.
