Positive periodic solutions of higher-dimensional nonlinear functional difference equations (Q2567310)

The authors consider the diagonal discrete time nonlinear delay system \[ x_{n+1}=A_nx_n + \lambda h_nf(x_{n-\tau(n)}) \] where \(A_n = diag(a_{1,n},\ldots,a_{m,n})\), \(h_n = diag(h_{1,n},\ldots,h_{m,n})\) with positive \(T\)-periodic entries, \(\tau(n)>0\) is a \(T\)-periodic sequence, \(f:\mathbb R^m\to \mathbb R_+\) is continuous. Also \(0<a_{i,n}<1\). Conditions are given for existence of one or two positive \(T\)-periodic solutions as well as for non-existence of such solutions. These conditions are expressed as inequality constraints on the real strictly positive parameter \(\lambda\).
