Slant immersions in complex geometry were defined by B. Y. Chen as a generalization of both holomorphic and totally real immersions. Later, the notion of slant immersion of a Riemannian manifold into an almost contact metric manifold was introduced. On the other hand, for manifolds with an \(f\)-structure (a generalization of complex structure), D. E. Blair has introduced \(S\)-manifolds as the analogue of the Kähler structure in the almost complex case. The purpose of this paper is to study slant submanifolds of \(S\)-manifolds with the smallest dimension, specially, minimal slant submanifolds, and to establish some relations between them and anti-invariant submanifolds in \(S\)-manifolds.
