In this paper, extended Bergman projections \(P_s\) from Lebesgue classes \(L^p(\nu_q)\) onto all Besov spaces \(B_q^p\) on the unit ball \(\mathbb B\) are defined and characterized. The main result of the paper is a necessary and sufficient condition for \(P_s\) to be a bounded operator. The proof is entirely different from that of M.~M.~Peloso. The adjoint of \(P_s\) is found. Right inverses and adjoints of the projections \(P_s\) share the property that they are imbeddings of Besov spaces into Lebesgue classes via certain combinations of radial derivatives. Application to the solution of the Gleason problem at an arbitrary point \(a\in\mathbb B\) in Besov spaces is given. The duality of \(B_q^p\) spaces under some new pairings is studied. Finally, the author investigates complex interpolation between \(B_q^{p_0}\) and \(B_q^{p_1}\) and identifies some linear operators that leave them invariant. The results apply also to the Hardy space \(H^2\), the Arveson space, the Dirichlet space, and the Bloch space.
