A Gysin sequence is a long exact sequence which relates (joints) the cohomology classes of the base space \(B\), the fiber \(S^k\) and the total space \(E\) of an oriented sphere bundle \(\pi:E\to B\). It defines a degree \(k + 1\) cohomology class \(e\) called Euler class of the considered bundle. In the case the cohomological classes are represented by differential forms, so that the Euler class \(e\) can be represented by a \((k+1)\)-form, the projection map \(\pi\) induces a map in cohomology \(H^*\) (the pullback \(\pi^*\)), namely \[ \pi^* : H^*(B)\to H^*(E). \] It was proved that the following is a long exact sequence \[ \dots\longrightarrow H^n(E)\overset{\pi_*}{\longrightarrow} H^{n-k}(M)\overset{e\wedge}{\longrightarrow} H^{n+1}(M)\overset{\pi^*}{\longrightarrow} H^{n+1}(E)\longrightarrow\dots \] where \(e\wedge\) is the wedge product of a differential form with Euler class \(e\). In this paper the Gysin sequence is adapted to a stratified pseudomanifold \(X\) and a stratified unit circle action \(S^1\) over \(X\), which determines a modelled action \(\Phi:S^1\times X\to X\) and perversity \(q^\wedge\) in \(X\). As the orbit map \(\pi:X\to B\), \(B=X/S^1\), preserves the strata and perversity degree one can pass to the intersection cohomology getting the map \(\pi^*:H^*_{q^\wedge}(B)\to H^*_{q^\wedge}(X)\). The analogy with the above recalled de Rham cohomology is clear. Some expository part of the paper concerns the author's development of the used auxiliary notions: (a) stratified spaces [see \textit{M. Pflaum}, Analytic and geometric study of stratified spaces. Berlin: Springer (2001; Zbl 0988.58003)], (b) stratified pseudomanifolds [see \textit{A. Borel} and \textit{N. Spaltenstein}, Prog. Math. 50, 47--182 (1984; Zbl 0553.14002)], (c) unfoldings [see \textit{M. Saralegi}, Ill. J. Math. 38, No. 1, 47--70 (1994; Zbl 0792.57009)], (d) intersection cohomology [see \textit{J.-L. Brylinski}, Contemp. Math. 139, 5--32 (1992; Zbl 0803.55002)]. The notions of modeled action and modeled unfolding are introduced in this paper. These are ``suitable adaptation of the unfolding of a stratified pseudomanifold to the equivariant context'' according to the author. Passing to the intersection cohomology we get the map \(\pi^*\) mentioned above which is a string of the search Gysin sequence of \(X\) induced by the action. What is interesting is the third term (see the paper) which can be given by a spectral sequence on \(B\) whose second term is the cohomology of the fixed points.
