Positive solutions of a Hammerstein integral equation with a singular nonlinear term. II (Q2567973)

In this interesting paper the author studies the existence of a positive locally summable solution of a Hammerstein integral equation with a singular nonlinear term at the origin. The paper is in continuation of an earlier paper bearing the same title [Topol. Methods nonlinear Anal. 15, No. 2, 235--250 (2000; Zbl 0973.45004)]. The main findings of the paper are theorems 2 and 4. Necessary assumptions for the validity of the theorems are stated and examples provided where these assumptions are satisfied. Certain lemmas are mentioned before establishing the theorems.
