This paper considers the singularly perturbed problem \[ (x',\varepsilon y')\in F(x,y,\varepsilon), \quad x(0)=x_0,\;y(0)=y_0, \tag{1} \] where \(\varepsilon>0\) is a small parameter, \(x\in\mathbb{R}^M\), \(y\in\mathbb{R}^N\) and \(F\) is a set-valued function. The author defines under suitable assumptions a reduced differential inclusion \[ x'\in D(x) \tag{2} \] together with a boundary layer differential inclusion \[ y'\in G(x,y). \] Assuming global uniform asymptotic stability of appropriate sets for both these differential inclusions, the main result describes how solutions of the complete problem (1) converge on the time interval \([0,+\infty[\) and as \(\epsilon>0\) goes to zero, to the set of solutions of (2). This extends to differential inclusions a theorem due to \textit{F. Hoppensteadt} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 123, 521--535 (1966; Zbl 0151.12502)] for ODEs. As in this last paper, the method of proof uses Lyapunov functions which are deduced from the stability assumptions.
