A subgroup \(H\) of a group \(G\) is called permutably complemented if there exists another subgroup \(K\) of \(G\) having identity intersection with \(H\) such that \(G\) is the product of \(K\) and \(H\). Groups defined by systems of permutably complemented subgroups (in particular, groups in which all normal subgroups are permutably complemented), have been studied very intensely since 1937 when P. Hall proved that a finite soluble group could be characterized by the property that all its Sylow subgroups are permutably complemented and fully described finite groups in which all subgroups are permutably complemented (for a full account of the classical results dedicated to these themes see the book of \textit{S. N. Chernikov} [Groups with given properties of a system of subgroups. Moscow, Nauka (1980; Zbl 0486.20020)]). The group \(G\) is called just inseparable if the proper non-trivial permutably complemented subgroups of \(G\) coincide with the non-normal subgroups. The author of the paper under review proves that only the indecomposable Abelian groups and the quaternion group are just inseparable groups.
