The paper presents an existence result for a homogeneous Dirichlet problem driven by the \(p\)-Laplacian and containing the difference of two multi-valued terms, one given by the generalized gradient of a locally Lipschitz functional and the other equal to the subdifferential of a convex, proper, lower semicontinuous functional. The existence of a strictly positive solution is obtained in the case where the second multi-valued term is dropped. The approach combines techniques of non-smooth analysis with results on maximal monotone operators.
