    A Banach space \(X\) is said to have the property \(\alpha\) if there exists a constant \(C>0\) such that \[ \int_0^1\int_0^1 \| \sum_{i,j=1}^N \alpha_{i,j}x_{i,j}r_i(t)r_j(s)\| dtds\leq C\int_0^1\int_0^1 \| \sum_{i,j=1}^n x_{i,j}r_i(t)r_j(s)\| dtds \] for any \(N\in {\mathbb N}\), \(| \alpha_{i,j}| \leq 1\) and \(x_{i,j}\in X\) where \(r_i\) stands for the Rademacher functions. The author shows that if \(X\) is a UMD space with the property \(\alpha\) and \({\mathcal M}\) is a family of either \(L(X)\)-valued functions \(m\) defined on \({\mathbb R}^n\) constant on dyadic intervals, or \(L(X)\)-valued distributions \(m\) on \({\mathbb R}_*^n\) with locally integrable derivatives \(D^\beta m\) for \(\beta\in \{0,1\}^n\), then the \(R\)-bounded norm of the family \(T_m(f)={\mathcal F}^{-1} m \hat f\) considered as operators acting on the mixed norm space \(L^{(p_1,...,p_n)}({\mathbb R}^n,X)\) can be estimated by the \(R\)-bounded norm of the family of operators in \(L(X)\) given by either \(\{m(I): I \text{ dyadic }, m\in {\mathcal M}\}\) or by \(\{\xi^\beta D^\beta m(\xi): \xi\in {\mathbb R}^n_*,\beta\in \{0,1\}^n, m\in {\mathcal M}\}\). The proof uses the fact \(L^{(p_1,...,p_n)}({\mathbb R}^n,X)= L^{p_n}({\mathbb R},L^{(p_1,...,p_{n-1})}({\mathbb R}^{n-1},X))\) together with a combination of some known facts for \(L(X)\)-valued multipliers defined on \(\mathbb R\) with values in UMD-spaces with the property \(\alpha\).
