The authors consider in the present article the Euler product \(\zeta_r (s)= \prod\limits_{p} \exp(Li_r (p^{-s}))\), where \(r\) is a positive integer and \(Li_r (x) := \sum\limits^\infty_{n=1} x^n n^{-r}\) is the polylogarithm of order \(r\). \(\zeta_r (s)\) is a generalization of \(\zeta_1 (s)=\zeta(s)\). The main result they prove is that, in the half plane \(\Re(s) >~ 1\), \(\zeta_r (s) =\prod\limits^\infty_{n=1} \zeta (ns)^{cr(n)}\) where \(c_r (n)\) is the multiplicative function \(n^{-r} \sum\limits_{m|n} \mu (m) m^{r-1}\), and the infinite product is absolutely convergent. Furthermore, the product \(\zeta_r (s)\) has an analytic continuation to the region \(\Re(s) >0\) with the natural boundary \(\Re(s) =0\). The main idea for the proof of the latter conclusion is the identity \(\zeta_r'(s)/\zeta_r(s) =\sum\limits^\infty_{n=1} n\, c_r(n) \frac{\zeta '}{\zeta} (ns)\) and they locate the poles of \(\frac{\zeta '}{\zeta} (ns)\) (which are essentially the non-trivial zeros of \(\zeta (s)\)) by the von Mangoldt zero-counting formula for \(\zeta (s)\).
