In this work the authors study the dynamics of deformable soft ferromagnets. After giving the preliminary information about the ferromagnetic materials, they present a general theory of ferromagnetic bodies, undergoing arbitrarily large deformation. Then, they derive the governing balance equations of a soft ferromagnetic material, which is magnetized but mechanically at rest. It is pointed out that their governing equations are identical to the dynamical version of the harmonic--map equations usually referred to in the mathematical literature as the Gilbert form of the Landau-Lifshitz equation. The paper is well-written and may find several readers working in the area of magnetized materials.
