Let \(R=K[x_{1},x_{2},\dots,x_{n}]\) be a polynomial ring over a field \(K\) and \(I\) be an ideal of \(R\) generated by a set \(x^{\alpha_1},x^{\alpha_2},\dots,x^{\alpha_q}\) of square-free monomials of degree two such that the graph \(G\) defined by those monomials is bipartite. The aim of this note is to study the Rees algebra R(\(I\)) of \(I\). This is made by investigating both the Rees cone \(R_{+} A'\) generated by the set \(A'=\{e_{1},e_{2},\dots,e_{n},(\alpha _{1},1),(\alpha _{2},1),\dots,(\alpha _{q},1)\}\) and the matrix \(C\) whose columns are the vectors in \(A'\). It is shown that \(C\) is totally unimodular (see theorem 3.1). Also, the irreducible representation of the Rees cone is determined in terms of the minimal vertex covers of \(G\) and the \(\alpha\)-invariant of R(\(I\)) is computed.
