The paper deals with accretive operators in Banach space \( E \) and the operator equation \[ Ax=f \tag{1} \] given on a closed convex subset \( G \subseteq D(A) \subseteq E. \) The authors understand a solution of (1) in the sense of a solution of the co-variational inequality. For finding a solution of (1), the regularized equation \(A z_{\alpha} + \alpha z_{\alpha} = f \) is considered. The iterative regularization is defined by \[ x_{n+1} = Q_G (x_n - \varepsilon_n (A x_n + \alpha x_n - f )), \] where \( Q_G \) is a nonexpansive retruction of \(E\) onto \(G\). The strong convergence of these methods and their stability with the respect to perturbations of operators and constraint sets in Banach spaces is established. The theorems proved in the paper are applicable to much larger classes of operator equations in uniformly smooth Banach spaces than previous results [see \textit{Y. I. Al'ber} and \textit{A. I.
