The author gives, among others, a necessary and sufficient condition for a ring \(R\) in which every \(s\)-pure right ideal is projective. In the commutative case, Theorems 3.2 and 3.8 are interesting. Especially, in Corollary 3.10, it is shown that a commutative semiartinian ring \(R\) is von Neumann regular if every maximal ideal of \(R\) is idempotent.
