The author derives the exact rate of convergence together with a first-order asymptotic expansion in the normal approximation for the logarithm of the order of a random permutation on subsets of the symmetric group. This result improves a central limit theorem in probabilistic number theory proved first by \textit{A. I. Pavlov} [Math. USSR, Sb. 42,539--567 (1982); translation from Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 114(156), 611--642 (1981; Zbl 0511.60022)].
