The authors use dynamic iteration techniques to deal with the Runge-Kutta (RK) approach for index-2 differential algebraic equations (DAE). A few new theoretical results are derived on DI discretized RK formulae for explicit DAEs of index 2. The convergence of the RK formulae is verified for index-2 DAEs. These iterative processes are very general and even can be implemented on different blocks of components. Finally the authors discuss briefly the potential of parallelism.
