Let \(I\) denote the open interval \((0,\infty)\) endowed with Lebesgue measure. The author considers the order convolution of functions on \(I\), given as \[ f \ast g (x) = f(x) \int_{0}^x g(y) dy + g(x) \int_0^x f(y) dy~~. \] With this convolution, \(L^1(I)\) becomes a commutative Banach algebra, whose maximal ideal space \(\widehat{I}\) is given by the half-open interval \((0,\infty]\). Here the Gelfand transform maps functions \(f\) to their primitives \(F(x) = \int_0^x f(y) dy\). Of chief interest are the algebras \(\widehat{A}_p(I)\) obtained by intersecting the image space of the Gelfand transform with \(L^p(\widehat{I})\), and bounded operators \(M_\varphi: \widehat{A}_r(I) \to \widehat{A}_p(I)\) obtained by pointwise multiplication with a suitable function \(\varphi\). For the case \(p=r\), a characterization of bounded multipliers was obtained by \textit{S.~Kalra}, \textit{A.~I.~Singh} and \textit{H.~L.~Vasudeva} [J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 54, No.1-4, 47-63 (1989; Zbl 0722.43003)]. The author extends the reasoning of this paper to obtain sufficient criteria and necessary criteria for boundedness, which can be seen as suitable generalizations of the case \(p=r\). As a rule, the cases \(p<r\) and \(p>r\) have to be distinguished. A sharp characterization, as for the case \(p=r\), is not given.
