An Egorov theorem for perturbed hyperbolic automorphisms of the \(2d\)-torus (\(d \geq 1\)) is derived by adapting techniques of [\textit{A. Bouzouina} and \textit{D. Robert}, Uniform semiclassical estimates for the propagation of quantum observables, Duke Math. J. 111, No. 2 , 223--252 (2002; Zbl 1069.35061)]. The theorem is next combined with the results of [\textit{M. Blank, G. Keller} and \textit{C. Liverani}, ``Ruelle-Perron-Frobenius spectrum for Anosov maps'', Nonlinearity 15, No. 6, 1905--1973 (2002; Zbl 1021.37015)] concerning estimates on the classical mixing rates of Anosov systems to study the long time evolution of coherent states on the two-torus (\(d=1\)). In particular, it is shown that on a sufficiently long (logarithmic in \(\hbar\)) time scale these states, evolved under a quantized perturbed hyperbolic automorphism, equidistribute on the torus. It is also pointed out that for \(d>1\) a similar result hold provided that the largest and the smallest Lyapunov exponents satisfy a pinching condition of the type \(3 \Gamma_{\max} <4\Gamma_{\min}\). As an application, the problem of gaining control on the scarring of eigenfunctions is tackled and it is proved that if a sequence of eigenfunctions of a quantized perturbed hyperbolic toral automorphism converges to a delta measure, then it must do so slowly.
