Measures with \(\tau\)-smooth marginals (Q2572642)

The author gives, by using lifting theory, an example that shows an evidence of the existence of a gap in the proof of Theorem~1 of \textit{J. Kawabe} [Yokohama Math. J. 42, No.~2, 159--169 (1994; Zbl 0851.60004)] about the limit of a net of \(\tau\)-smooth measures on a product space with \(\tau\)-smooth marginals. The author also shows that the theorem is remedied if one of the marginals is supposed to be tight, so that a Strassen type theorem is proved for \(\tau\)-smooth measures.
