The author considers the moments of the normalized volume of a symmetric or asymmetric random polytope in a fixed symmetric convex body. He examines which bodies provide an extremum for these moments and calculates the extreme values in some cases as well. It is proved in the paper that these moments are maximized among planar convex bodies by parallelograms.
