The presented simulation procedure provides a fast technique for computing the electromagnetic field on the surface of infinitely extended insulated metallic conductors buried in a conducting ground. The calculations can be carried out for arbitrary values of the parameters: the conductor radius, the height of the current-carrying wire, the current frequency and the conductivities of the dielectric layer, the metal, and the ground. The procedure produces a satisfactory approximation within some limits.
