Let \(X\) be a Banach space, \(Y \subset X\) a nonempty weakly compact subset of \(X\) and \(f: Y \to Y\) a mapping of asymptotically nonexpansive type. The author gives some fixed point theorems in terms of the normal structure coefficient of \(X\).
