The author deals with the \(\lambda \)-state Potts model on diamond-like hierarchical lattices. He showes that the limit set of zeros of the partition function is the Julia set \( J(T_{n\lambda})\) of the rational mapping \[ T_{n\lambda}(z)=(\frac{z^2+\lambda -1}{2z+\lambda -2})^n \] The main result is the following Theorem. Suppose the natural number \( n>2 \) and the parameter \(\lambda \in R \), then the Julia set \( J(T_{n\lambda})\) is disconnected if and only if \(\lambda \in (\gamma_n ,2+ \frac{1}{2}^{\frac{1}{n-1}})\), where \(\gamma_n \in (2,3)\).
