The authors study nonhyperbolic repellers of diffeomorphisms obtained via a Hopf bifurcation from a transitive Anosov diffeomorphism with unstable dimension 2. These repellers are not conformal so the standard methods do not work here. Using recent results on nonuniformly expanding maps with holes, the authors show that the Hausdorff dimension and the box dimension of the repeller are strictly less than the dimension of the ambient manifold and, in particular, such repeller has volume zero. For part I see [J. Stat. Phys. 105, 835--862 (2001; Zbl 0991.37012)].
