    Higher Euler and Bernoulli polynomials are defined via their generating functions, \[ \left( \frac{2}{e^x+1}\right)^r e^{xt}=\sum\limits_{n=0}^\infty E_n^r(t)\frac{x^n}{n!} \] and \[ \left( \frac{x}{e^x-1}\right)^r e^{xt}=\sum\limits_{n=0}^\infty B_n^r(t)\frac{x^n}{n!} \] respectively. The author proves several \(p\)-adic congruences for these polynomials. We present only two examples. If \(p\neq 2\) is a prime number, \(n,r\in \mathbb Z_+\), \(a\in \mathbb Z_p\), then \[ E^r_{m+np}(a)\equiv E^r_{m+n}(a)\pmod{np\mathbb Z_p} \] for all \(m\geq 0\). For any \(m,n\in \mathbb Z_+\), \(a\in \mathbb Z_p\), \[ p^rB^r_{m+np}(a)\equiv p^rB^r_{m+n}(a)\pmod{\tfrac{np}2\mathbb Z_p}. \]
