A topological space \(X\) is called Fréchet--Urysohn if the closure of any subset \(A\) of \(X\) consists of the limits of all convergent sequences from \(A\). Improving a classical result due to Amemiya and Komura, the authors show that if a locally convex space \(E\) is Fréchet--Urysohn and its dual \((E',\sigma(E',E))\) is locally complete, then \(E\) is Baire-like. The following closed graph theorem is also proved: let \(E\) be a Fréchet--Urysohn barrelled space and let \(F:= \text{ ind}_n F_n\) be an (LB)-space. If the linear operator \(T\) from \(E\) to \(F\) has a sequentially closed graph, then there exists \(m\) such that \(T(E)\) is contained in \(F_m\) and the map \(T\) is continuous from \(E\) into \(F_m\).
