The authors sketch the idea to use basic ideas from chaos theory to model the process of theory changes in the Kuhnian approach toward the development of the scientific progress, and they explain the most basic ideas from both fields. Particularly they offer the idea to use the cusp model from catastrophe theory to understand scientific revolutions. There is no true mathematics used inside this paper: it offers only this idea and claims that one could successfully use it to get a mathematical model for theory changes.
