The problem of robust stability for the following class of time-delay system is investigated \[ \dot x(t)=AB x(t)+A_dBx(t-d)\,, \] where \(x(t)\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(x(t-d)\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(d>0\) is an unknown constant time delay, \(A\) and \(A_d\) are known real constant matrices and \(B\) is an unknown (uncertain) matric from a polytopic domain. The quadratic stability, i.e., the stability obtained by quadratic Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, as notice the authors can be very ``conservative'', for the stability conditions must be satisfied at all vertices of the polytopic domain of uncertainty. For this purpose, in the paper, the quadratic functionals are modified by introducing parameters and obtaining the so-called double polyhedral functionals. In their terms stability results are obtained. For comparison reasons, also similar results in terms of single-polyhedral functionals are proposed. All established stability conditions are expressed in terms of linear matix inequalities. The effectiveness of the obtained results is illustrated on numerical examples.
